Students February 2011
"Terry Arroyo Mulrooney donated to Kristina Mills, President of
the
UM Black Law Students Association, an
original piece of Watercolor art (Realization of a Dream)
she created as a donation for "Supporting Our Sisters," a
fundraising brunch for "Miami Law Women in Need."
The Brunch is hosted by the University of Miami School of Law,
Miami Law Women (MLW) and Black Law Students Association (BLSA) MLW
and BLSA were contacted by the UM administration to discuss
correspondence from female alumnae facing health problems, who are
having trouble making ends meet while they are ill. They
felt it was important for UM Law alumnae to be able to look to their
alma mater in their hour of need. Together with the
administration, the executive boards of the two organizations have
worked tirelessly to plan a fundraising brunch, the proceeds from
which will go towards helping these women and future women in need."
